“Laima, Mara and the Marriage They Couldn’t Have.” These two diets are slightly above other mother figures in their importance and duties. Over time many of the mothers have given their responsibilities to these two. A Task they both share is taking care of young maidens and preparing them for marriage.

In my re-imagined way, the two women who have fallen in love with each other. They could still fulfil their duties in guiding the other to a marriage, but samesex marriages are currently illegal in Latvia.
